Hailee Greene is the CEO of PomacePlus, an innovative startup utilizing Cornell technology to upcycle food waste for value added ingredients.
A serial entrepreneur with a background in political consulting, Hailee grew up on her mom’s farm and helping at her dad’s deli. She graduated from Drew University and spent over a decade in politics – working with candidates from the local level to statewide and presidential. In 2019 she was the Tri-State Director for Governor Jay Inslee’s presidential campaign. She then opened GreeneStrat, where she consulted for numerous NYS candidates and national non-profits.
Hailee graduated with her Masters in Business Administration from Cornell University in 2024. During her time at Cornell, she worked on building GreeneAcres Processing, a seed-to-solution company building the industrial hemp supply chain by growing and processing industrial hemp into fiber and hurd for use in manufactured goods. – participating in Johnson Summer Startup Accelerator, Blackstone Launchpad Fellowship, eLab Accelerator and the GreenTech Innovation Fellowship.
Hailee is still running GreeneStrat – now pivoted from a political consulting firm to helping small businesses and startups. She also serves as a Community Advocate for Upstate Venture Connect, ensuring Upstate entrepreneurs have the network and resources they need to continue building in NYS.
In her free time, you can find Hailee in the barn riding and training horses. She is an active competitor in dressage, holding a USDF Silver Medal, and is working towards her Gold. She also enjoys hiking the Ithaca gorges with her partner and dalmatian Toula.
